From the moment I pressed the play button on this album and heard the bass of the intro I realized that this band is “ here to stay”. 13 songs all with dynamic intros, melodic solos, fast and slow rhythms , Screams, and Metal riffs all blended with the uniqueness of the vocals of Jack Bauer and a good production created a very good metal album. The lyrics are based on mythology and fantasy and the music sounds such as 80s epic metal bands. Although some may argue that the band may need a better vocalist, I do not agree. this is a feature of the band which makes them different than all the rest ( I can name numerus bands here which have similar vocalists and are very succesffull).
The influences of the members of the band are obvious: iron maiden , Black Sabbath, Bruce Dickinson, Manowar, Helloween and the rest the legends of the 80’s
The Guitars : – these guys really know how to write some cool riffs and solos – check their song Awake!!! Bass and Drums. Its good to see that still some bands still remember that bass and drums really exist and know how to use them correctly – Tengwar in their album are using them at their optimum and that’s nice to see –really liked the intros of the Bass in some songs. Highlights of the album Dragonstrike is one of the high moments of this albums – good job tengwar Nothing here – mid song and after is almost a masterpiece The ring - Dark days & Allyways – that made my day!! Bloodgreeve and Decide - Nice base intro guys Awake – Guitar Kingdome is Here – one of the best of the album – listen to is carefully and you will discover the influences of the band Flight of the gryphon - Fliiightttt of the grypthon, fliiggght of the gryphton the ideal song to finish an album like this Tengwar produced a very good album – and proved that they have a future in the metal industry – they are on the right track and what is the most important their music is “true metal”. 8/10
