Is nice to
see that the European and mainly the German power metal , which includes
legendary bands such as helloween and gamma ray have someone to continue this
good tradition. This album from Seventh Avenue,
Terium is really something which all the fans of power metal and especially
those who really appreciate the 80s power scene should have.
The album
is released under a the legendary label of massacre records (hail to Massacre
Recods). 15 songs and 71 minute of power metal music. Seventh
avenue have exceeded my expectations. The reason I am suggesting
the above is because many of the bands who include many songs in their album
fail to keep the same quality in all of the songs. This is not the case with seventh
avenue – terium album. All songs are very good and can satisfy even the
most demanding metal fan.
In those 15
songs the intro is included. And two ballads (a good metal album especially power
metal one should always include a ballad) the song hands
of the kings is an excellent ballad! The other one is the innocence which is an average ballad,.
The song priest and servants starts as a ballad and after a minute it takes
a 180 degrees turn and turns into a dynamic , power and fast metal song, this
last until the 5th minute when again the songs is closing in a
ballad style.
The singer is one of the best I ever listened to heavy
metal, his voice is a full scale metal voice which matches perfectly with the
bands music !!!
Guitars are melodic with 80s style power metal riffs. The influence from bands such as maiden,
priest, Helloween and gamma ray is pretty obvious. Furthermore I really liked
the guitar fills in all the songs and mainly the backing guitar solos to the
vocalist.
The bass player really does an impression and is kicking ass
on songs such as the TERIUM and the Crowd in the Dark. The same accounts
for the Drums – an excellent power
metal band needs a great drummer and Seventh Avenue have one -!!! With one word
he can be characterized as excellent. the drums are majestic and dynamic, they are really a plus for the band Another
positive point of this album is the chorus of the songs, all are melodic easy
to listen, like and remember..
The best
song of the album is the song TERIUM –
this song is power metal anthem where drums, Vocals, guitars and bass are
really unforgettable.
The album
is a job well done, with a very good production and I believe I must not say anything else. Now
do your selves a favor and buy the album not only you support a great band and
a great label but you will add a great album to your collection. (9/10)
