That was the perfect complilation to open new roads to my epic metal and pagan music trip. I have been in metal for more than 15 years. Grew up with epic and classic metal bands, and every time I am given the chance to discover  and explore other bands I am excited, especially when those bands produce high quality interesting  heavy metal music. This complilation contains 13 underground bands from bands from 11 countries  I was very pleased the minute I received this complilation. From the excellent cover you can understand the quality of the job done. The feeling remained the same after hearing the Cd. A  complilation of pagan, Viking, and folk metal. Full of metal passion,  which is transmitted successfully, to the audience of this album.  .This is the 4th complilation release from the popular ezine www.metalmessage.de,  Metal Message is releasing one complilation each year starting 2004. this album contains songs from13 international bands, a great cover art from the French brush-grandmaster Jean-Pascal Fournier. Also Belgium´s famous specialist for mystic graphical arts, Kris Verwimp, has painted a special marvellous CD-label design  Now about the songs of the album: All 13 songs are equally deserve a high ranking in my metal music portfolio, all the songs are very interesting  and more importantly unique . The best of the complilation however were (according to epicmetal.net) the THARAPHITA band from Esthonia  with their  Great song with epical opening, one of the best of the complilation. The IRMINSUL – Vinterskald,  with the dynamic pagan characteristics and their unique style of music. Another interesting band on this complilation is the Russian ALKONOST with their song Darknaness, female vocals backed by hordes and epical and pagan metal music!!! And the  German SLARTIBARTFASS with St Guthbert. And finally the last song of this complilation from the Irish Band  SIROCCO  the Forsaken Shores (9 minute song) I will not say more about this complilation, if you are interested in exploring, discovering bands other than the traditional ones, buy this complilation in order to start your search this, an excellent production, with an excellent cover and art work design and of course 13 excellent pagan and epic metal band . Do your Selves a favour and go and buy the complilation. You support not only the bands but also you will add a jewel to your album collection   As for metalmessage.de, the expectations and standards from their complilations are set very high and I am sure the next one the V which is due for release in mid 2008 will meet those standards.   Until the next one Hail MetalMessage and their complilations
