MANIFEST - Find A New Place - (8.5/10) heavy metal review
First of all let me congratulate the bass player  of Manifest. The bass really rocks thanks to the very good bass playing but also thanks to the great production. What a great dynamic intro to this album, hard rocking metal guitar riffs and a very good vocalist (ex-MYSTIC FORCE vocalist, Bobby Hick). Manifest, play a power and a melodic but also progressive in some ways heavy metal.   The opening song defintetly distorted my mind, made me headbang like crazy, excellent riifs, melodies, vocalists, pre chorus a classic 80s metal song.   The album  called find  a new place contains 8 songs  6 of the original album plus 2 pre- production rehearsal tracks. It was first released as a tape in 1995 and then in a 1000 copies cd edition  but under a different name (yes or no).  Thanks to  Arkeyn Steel manifest are back to the metal world. Remastered and with new artwork pressed only for 1000 hand numbered Cds. It is an album which deserves your attention for both the excellent  music but also its collectors value potential.     You get the feeling from the opening song that this is a classic metal album with progressive metal influences.. All songs are close to perfection, well played ,attention to details and I will say it again a kicking ass bass. Melodic guitar solo and  a great vocalist. Bobby Hick is the proof that a good vocalist is a key to the success of an album hence a band. The album includes fast  songs but also ballad style songs such as Yes or No  and .Rheims of Forgotten Love . the concrete city brings forward the progressive influences of the band – nice intro to that one. Definitely the songs which you will never forget is the anthem war of the worlds ,majestic, epic, great acoustic intro. The final song even though is a studio prerehearsal Desire Of The Unworthy  it’s the song which definitely deserved a full recording and production as is kicking ass, with a great melodic riff and rhythm through out  the song.   You will love this album especially is  you are a fan of Queensryche, Heir Apparent.  What are you waiting, buy one of the few numbered remaining albums of this band and spread their music. Not only you support a great band which deserved a better future but also you support a great label (Arkeyn) and you add a valuable album to your collection.
