The EP closing song is “Ecliptica” is the ideal closing in a very good EP like the awakening. It is a song which has the elements of both vocalists (male and female). When this song started I was a bit disappointed with the “the cranberries style “ however as soon as the 1st minute passed the sound changed gradually and incorporated the influences of the band : the band closed the EP in an interesting and progressive way

Another
great band this time from Austria,
which we have the honor in adding it to epicmetal.net. The roots of the band are basically from a solo project of “Drunken Angels” Guitarist
Markus Winkler in 2003. This band has progressive but also power and epic metal
influences. The band produced 2 demos up to now. The elements they have from
bands such as Symphony –X are obvious. Their Style: Power and Epical yet Progressive in a way which does not alters
the power and epical elements of the band.
Now about the EP – as stated above it sounds epical,
power with progressive elements. The female
vocalist is adding a bit differentiation to the band. Songs are easy to hear
and melodic.
The EP starts in an Epical way through the “End
of Silence” instrumental , and then it enters into the powerful song “ the
awakening”. The next song a “fairytale” continues from there the
previous song left us, dynamic, powerful and melodic. “Evil Love” starts with
an epical Riff and continues like that throughout the song, (nice Refrain
melody). The “Twilight Hall” Is another interesting song which reveals the
virtues of Ecliptica and is one of the best moments of this EP. The EP closing

announced that they will be releasing a full length studio album in May 2008 –
we are anxious and we are waiting for it. Ecliptica are another band added to
epicmetal.net which have what it takes to succeed in the metal scene. Support the band by buying
