Divinity is one of our latest additions to epicmetal.net. a band with high future prospects. Canadian modern Metal juggernaut DIVINITY will be releasing their long awaited debut album ‘Allegory’ on July 28th, 2007. Mixed and Mastered by Tue Madsen (Dark Tranquility, The Haunted, Aborted) the album is a crushing mixture of Death, Thrash, and Progressive Metal, sure to violate the ear holes for fans of Strapping Young Lad, Into Eternity and Soilwork.
Each song has its own identity on the self-produced and financed epoch, covering lyrical themes ranging from man’s battle against technology, to personal struggles against substance abuse, the opposite sex and the chaos of existence. The musical assault ranges from blistering, intricate riffs and crushing grooves to soaring melodic hooks and face melting solos. The band’s strength and perseverance in the face of both personal and group adversity shines through in this genre defying yet wholly cohesive body of work.
Divinity will be touring across Canada this summer in support of Allegory. Having shared the stage with such legends as CANNIBAL CORPSE, OVERKILL, INTO ETERNITY, QUO VADIS and KATAKLYSM, DIVINITY is poised to bring their live onslaught on the road. With skills and a dominating stage show honed over the years since the band’s formation in 1997, DIVINITY is an intense and unrelenting live force, bringing their unique brand of Metal to the people.
Future plans for the band include a continuation of spreading the seed to other markets such as the US and Europe, promotional onslaughts in major publications across Canada and web, and writing the follow up to ‘Allegory’. Forging partnerships and making fans along the way, DIVINITY is hungry to burn their mark on the annals of 21st century Metal, as they continue to progress towards their destiny as one of Western Canada’s most esteemed acts.
