Crom - Vengeance (9.5) heavy metal review
This time I will start from the end. All of you metal fans do your selves a favor and get this album, you support a great band an excellent label and more importantly you have an “immortal” album in your collection.  The album was released from the legendary Pure Steel Records (well done guys)   Well the opening song wings of fire really blasted my speakers, the room was filled with melodies and metal and epic  power, as soon as this power metal was over immediately the restless kings opening with acoustic guitar and a cool guitar solo relaxed me. – very good ballad indeed. Followed by another ballad called Crom (to be honest I did not liked 2 ballands followinf each other) then immediately the ballad feeling is over as we enter with a majestic effect to the Vengeance part 1 – the cause  power and hard rock song. Melodic solos, nice chorus and  nice vocal effect in the mid song. The power and hardrock feeling eases as we enter in an acoustic way to the Vengeance Part 2 .. and the Effect   a ballad up to the 2nd minute and then suddenly changes style into a faster song with effects, nice solos, and a great metal ambience with a closing which is backed by a good 2nd guitar.!!!  Unchanged the hero storms in with one of the best introductions I ever listened to a metal songs. The mood changes again with  a ballad again( a life unbearable)  with  a strange effect (acoustic) on the guitar the time passes smoothly as we enter into one of the best songs of the album called   The stars will Fall with a  narrator accompanied by acoustic guitar and suddenly enters into a power song with many epic metal features which you will enjoy listening. A point worth’s paying attention is the vocal effects! The next song Hammer of Gods  starts with acoustic guitars (folk blackmoore’s night style) but after a few seconds heavy distrortion guitar riiffs enters!! (Good) this song has a very good closing , check it out 6:11 and after. Then the final song FIRE arrives which is definitely the way to close a great album such as this.   Crom states that his influenced by bands and musicians such as Quorthon, and Epic metal melodies of Bathory,  however CROM used the influences not to copy the above bands but to create a music to fit his own style.  Well done CROM.   Crom deserves a place in your album collection , do your selves a favour and add this album to your collection you support a great artist and a great label
