Combat
In 1984, we (the Rossbach brothers, Rex and Jeff) had been trying to put another band together. We had jammed with Chris "The Monarch" Weidner a year before, and he in turn tried to hook us up with Bob Eubank. Last minute he decided he wanted in instead, and after seeing Metallica and Raven on the "Kill 'Em All For One" tour we were ready. *Boom* - COMBAT was launched. We knew Joe Leonard who was working at Combat Records. He told us they were interested but the name had to go, so we became NAPALM. Next thing we knew our $200 demo became the Bootcamp EP. 1000 copies were pressed and sold, and Combat wanted us in the studio immediately to do a full album. This caused a rift, and Monarch went on to do the next album without us. Since the contract was with the original line up, Monarch tried to keep the deal going, but finally had to dump Combat Records. SPV answered the call. They put out Cruel Tranquility, and then with no original members left, the final NAPALM album, Zero To Black. In 2002, Bob Eubank's persistence paid off and we reformed COMBAT. In 2007, in the spirit of the original Bootcamp EP, we released our full length album, RUINATION.
