US metal is still
alive , the US Power Metal has a solid future especially with bands such as Beyond Fallen. The album
is very close to perfection. Great
RIFFS, Melodic, Dynamic and Fast.
Beyond Fallen are a very interesting band based in US Northeastern Pennsylvania. This is the 3rd
release from the band. they have already released a debut EP in 2004, the Lost
in shoadows album in 2005. and now they have released the MINDFIRE which now is under a record label.
It took me a while to review this album
because the cd was on the player for a long time. The band reminded me some of
the bands which attracted me to metal such as ICED EARTH, METALLICA and many
more. Riffs and Solos, Melodies, Powerful
and Dynamic Songs, and a unique vocalist which matches perfectly with
the bands music, all with perfect production and attention to the details
The Album begins with the Act of War (one of the highlights), a
Classic intro songs which prepares you from what will follow. Liked the fast rhythm and fast Guitar
Solo. The Second and third songs Blood on the Ic and The enemy of the
Mind continue where the first left as,
at a similar pace an rhythum. The fourth
Song Closer to the End is one more of the Highlights of the album and
very different that the first 3 songs. It starts in a ballad style with
acoustic guitars and backing solos and during the refrain the power goes up, after 3.30minutes the perfect solo start. The
fifth song (Instrumental) fields of Honor shows the virtues and the
capabilities of the members of Beyond
Fallen, Listen to it and you will understand what I mean. This shows how good
musicians they are. The Guitar, Bass, Drums are Perfect.; The instrumental
served its purpose as intro to the MINDFIRE
Song which is another excellent sample of power metal of Beyond Fallen. The
Ιillusion of fire (9) is a faster song compared to the others. The
final song BOMB INSIDE YOU HEAD is The ideal
way to close an album like that. And definitely the BEST MOMENT OF THE ALBUM.
The band
confirm that they will appear on the Headbanger's
Open Air Festival 2007 July 13, 2007 in GERMANY. I hope they will arrange
to appear in other European countries also.
