Based in Northeastern Pennsylvania Beyond Fallen performs original
heavy music with the primary goals being creativity and strong
musicianship. Unmistakably metal in approach, the band draws from a
variety of influences, covering a wide spectrum of musical genres
without losing focus on staying true to their heavy metal roots. They
explore many of metal’s sub-genres in their music, creating a style
that makes a powerful statement in today’s heavy music scene. They
strive to write and record quality songs, as well as bring the most
dynamic, explosive, and energetic performances possible to the
audience.
At the
forefront of the band’s live performances are the fierce riffs from the
twin guitar attack, which create the wall of sound that the group is
known for. Add a thunderous rhythm section and powerful vocals and you
have a band that grabs the audience’s attention right from the start.
They often bring a progressive, and at times experimental, element to
the music in just the right dose, without losing the listener.
Beyond Fallen
confirms the fact that heavy music does not always have to be mindless
compositions of unintelligible screaming and pointless noise to be
considered heavy. Uncompromising in style, the band refuses to
dumb-down what they do to please those casual music fans in the herd
who wander from trend to trend. While the heavy music environment
becomes over-saturated with countless bands trying to clone each other,
Beyond Fallen refuses to jump on the latest bandwagon, but rather
constantly develop their own interpretations through a series of
transformations of the metal sound.
The history of
Beyond Fallen begins in 2003, though guitarist Steve Jasuilewicz
started a nameless metal project in the fall of 2001 that would
eventually evolve into the band as it is today. After searching for the
right members the band finally came together in the summer of 2003,
with Beyond Fallen making it’s live debut in the fall, and finishing
out the year with the first recording in December. The band's members
in addition to guitarist Steve Jasuilewicz include Mike Johnson
(guitar), Chuck Donahue (bass), Tom Carden (drums) and Joe Karavis
(vocals). The great chemistry of a band such as this is quite rare. All
five members have input in helping shape the Beyond Fallen sound, and
are all on the same page as far as dedication to the cause, as well as
having a common goal of creating the most incredible metal possible.
With a steady
live schedule in 2004, one of the year's hilites was when the band won
the top prize at Keystone College’s Battle of the Bands in the spring -
a strong statement to make their mark as a legitimate force on the
regional music scene.
Their song “A Line in The Sand” from the debut 4 song CD has been featured in the Top 10 unsigned artists MP3s on FuseTv’s Uranium website. The band also has worldwide distribution of this CD through Hellion Records in Germany, with more distribution in the works.

The first half of 2005 focused primarily on writing new material, and in July 2005 the band entered S.I. Studios
in Scranton, Pennsylvania again, this time to record its first
full-legnth album, titled “Lost In The Shadows.” The reaction to this
CD has been very positive, receiving airplay and praise from the press
in several countries.
This all eventually landed led to the band being signed to Melissa Records,
a label based in The Netherlands. The new album, recorded in 2007
titled "Mindfire" has been released, and metal fans and press around
the world are giving it high praise.
The band plans
to have a busy live schedule over the next several months in support of
the new album, and is excited to be able to bring this music to the
stage so audiences can witness up-close all the band has to offer. The
band makes their first trip to Europe in July 2007, playing The Headbangers Open Air Festival and other dates as well.
Today's music
landscape needs bands like Beyond Fallen to continue making
contributions to the metal underground, without forgetting to preserve
the time-tested traditions of heavy metal music. Now is the time for
this band to spread it’s music full force to the rest of the world...
and with the current state of modern music, especially in the United
States, it could not have come at a better time.
