It was with great satisfaction
that I opened the package received from nightmare records. An established, high
quality metal label of USA
every day more labels discover epicmetal.net and post their promos for reviews.
Furthermore a number of unsigned bands have asked as to review their music and
add them to epicmetal.net.
the first album I listened
from the new releases of nightmare records was the album wings ofAsian
Typhoon . The band features a well known vocalist and a well known
guitarists. Minoru Niihara
– founder vocalist of LOUDNESS and the
legendary guitarist. Fumihiko Kitsutaka . From what I have noticed the band has a different name in use for outside japan. In
japan they are called X.Y.Z – A and for the north American
market the band is called Asian Typhoon. The band was formed
in 1999 and they have released 6 albums and 6 singles and 2 dvds..
The album contents 10 songs,
all played like the 80s style hard rock music the album.. The production of the album
is very good. It has some hard rock songs
and a few ballads and some songs which could have been better. The album also includes a booklet with lyric
and info. The guitar part of this album is excellent, great riffs, nice metal
and melodic solos, finger tipping acoustic part on the intro. The vocalist
really proves why is so popular its voice blends perfectly with the music and
the guitars of the album… this is a true metal vocalists
The highlights of this album
is the hard rock piece called I love rock
n roll life (who doesn’t!).
in includes a great power ballad i am addicted to you – that brought
memories to my mind. And a great instrumental incubation which proves how good the guitarist of this band is with
both electric and acoustic guitars.
Overall is a good album those of
you like the 80s hard rock – metal style
it may be a good option to buy. I wont say much more – do your selves
a favour and buy this album. You support a great band and a great
label (hail to nightmare records)
